Media Gallery For Shopify: The Easy Way To Showcase Your Media Features

In this post, you’ll learn everything you need to know about setting up a Media Gallery for your Shopify store. (Want to skip ahead?  See the demo here or download here.)

In our work with over 400 Shopify stores, we often receive requests to create a media page for stores that have been featured in magazines, newspapers, or on Shark Tank.

Having a Media Gallery allows you to show a neat set of images, all on one page, in any order you like. When your customers click on an image, it will open into a larger view, so that they can see your artwork, products or media features in detail.

The Gallery looks slick and professional and allows you to showcase multiple images at once without worrying about formatting or misalignment issues. Additionally, it’s mobile friendly too, to make it as easy as possible for your customers to use it.

With This Simple Plugin, You’ll Be Able To:

  • Show up to 100 images of where you’ve been featured in media outlets
  • Show an image, a link, and a description for each one
  • Enlarge the image
  • Edit, update and manage everything in theme settings.  Once it’s set up, there is no coding required.
  • The setup takes less than 10 minutes and does not require detailed technical knowledge.  The download comes with detailed guidelines to help you get set up.
  • See below for a two-minute video overview of exactly how it looks and works.

See the demo here >

As you can see from the demo above, the goal of this mini-project was to create a simple, beautiful, mobile-friendly media gallery for Shopify that is easy to use even for non-technical Shopify Store owners, and that is much lower in cost than the normal 10-20 hours it would take to create such a feature with a developer.

Once the plugin is installed, you can configure everything through your theme settings. You can upload the images from your computer, just as you would with any other theme setting (such as for your homepage slider).

The installation process is simple and comes with detailed instructions when you download the plugin. You’ll copy-paste some code from our step-by-step guide into your Shopify Theme files, and your settings file. It’s very straightforward, and our support team is on hand to help if you get stuck.

Once the code is installed, all you do is upload your images and set your title text to showcase them.

    1. Hi Nadia,

Thanks for your interest and your question. It’s not ‘drag and drop’, but, if you’d like to change the order, you could easily upload them and just adjust the order. Specifically: All of the uploads will be available in your theme settings. As such, to change the order, you could just re-upload, and change the images and titles to suit (rough time to do: 5 minutes). Hope that helps, just let me know if you have any other questions.
      Thanks,
      Tristan.

    1. Hi Elena, absolutelty! Every image must and should have an “alt text” normally a keyword related to the content which the image is for. I will send you an article on how to do this on Shopify.
